Play is an essential component of early childhood development
Even when your child is playing silently, they are learning important information that they will carry with them and use later.
You can use play to help expand your child's speech and language skills. Play has been shown to have a significant impact on a child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Hi I’m Emma
welcome to speech buddies
Speech Buddies was founded by our Clinical Director Emma Harrison back in 2017.
Following a 20-year career as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist within the NHS, Emma knew deep down after the birth of her second baby that it was time to make a change.
She knew that she had so much more to offer as a therapist and her number one priority was to impact more families than ever before.
Emma stepped out into the world of independent practice and founded ‘Emma Harrison Speech and Language Therapy’.
In September 2022 Emma began to expand her services by growing a team of Independent Associate Speech and Language Therapists which enabled her to impact even more families across the North East.
The brand then evolved into the Speech Buddies you see today!
